Profiler Ovality Case
Studies
Pre Adoption 150mm PVC United States
Overview: These 150mm pipes were surveyed as part of an adoption process for a new building development. The adoption standard allows for a maximum of 6% ovality after five years, within 9 months two of the lines Profiled had already exceeded this limit.
Deformation 525mm Concrete St Michaels New Zealand
Overview: This 525mm concrete pipe had been previously CCTV surveyed for a building consent as the owner was proposing to build over the pipe. ACC Consenting officers had forwarded the survey to Metrowater for consideration as the pipe showed severe cracking and loss of ovality downstream of the proposed build-over. The purpose of the profiler survey was to ascertain the extent of loss of ovality. An evaluation of remedial options would then be considered with the information gathered.
Waterlevel 200mm Essen Germany
Overview: This section of pipe was profiled as part of a series of initial laser trial surveys by IOGIS Knobbe and CO oHG. This pipe had been identified as having considerable deformation in parts. The water levels highlight dips in the pipe.
